Grit Coffee began its story in 2008 near the University of Virginia with a simple idea: to create a space where great coffee and a welcoming atmosphere would serve the local community. From that single shop, we have grown into the largest independent operator of coffee shops in Virginia, fueled by an expansive roasting operation.
