They say necessity is the mother of invention, and the C & O Restaurant has reinvented fine dining by offering its a la carte menu Tuesday through Saturday outside on its covered patio, and inside the bistro in limited spots. Though parties larger than six people can't be accommodated at this time, smaller parties can indulge in dishes such as the duck confit and ricotta gnocchi, the Maine lobster ravioli, or the seared halibut. The summer-corn side dish is an absolute don't-miss as is the sticky toffee pudding.
